Chairman of Kuje area council, Abdullahi Galadima has cautioned newsmen to exert professionalism in their reportage, to avoid misinforming the public.
Galadima stated this in reaction to a report alleging that he dishonored recent transfer of staff authorised by the chief executive of the Area Council Service Commission, Mohammed Gamwa
He added that he has no reason to refuse to allow the transfer of any staff in his area council, since he has honored the letters of other staff from various other area councils.
“I have served as a councillor and a speaker under Kuje area council. I was chairman of Speaker’s Forum, FCT. I know the rules and am not ignorant of implications of refusing transfer. So I will not be the one to dishonor it,” he said.
He called on the journalists to always verify and balance their stories just as he advice media men to avoid conflicting issues.
He further reiterated that his major area of concern is the welfare of staff in the face of daring financial challenges in the council, as all effort is geared towards bringing standard in health, sports, agriculture and education
