The Amalgamated Commercial motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN) has debunked media reports that its annual general meeting was scheduled to hold at Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.
Speaking with LEADERSHIP in Abuja, its national president and Board of Trustees (BoT) secretary, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Hassan, said the information was misleading, false and handiwork of mischief-makers.
He called on state chairmen to disregard such notice of meeting, saying the association would duly inform them in due course.
“We want ACOMORAN members, especially state chairmen who delegates to our annual general meeting, to please disregard the reports that our meeting will hold at the Yar’Adua Centre here in Abuja on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.
“That information is misleading and isn’t coming from the national leadership or the BoT. When plans have been concluded to hold the meeting, we will duly inform members, especially our delegates,” Hassan added.
Sokoto PDP endorses Makarki-led committee
Peoples Democratic Party Sokoto state chapter has unanimously endorsed the decision of the PDP stakeholders in Abuja to support and recognized Senator Ahmed Makarfi as an authentic chairman of the party instead of Senator Ali Modu Sherrif as favour by the appeal court judgment of Port Harcourt, recently.
In a press statement signed by the State party chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma and made available to Leadership, he made the statement after a meeting with state executive members of the party and all the 23 local government party chairmen, held in Sokoto.
Alhaji Milgoma described the agitators of supporting Senator Ali Sherrif as chairman in the state as infiltrators who are hell bend of destroying what they did not build due to hatred and political intolerance and love of power by force in order to satisfying their own minds and political survival.
