The Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JED)has advanced reasons for the delay in the capturing process after the installation of the new prepaid meters even as it appealed to its customersin Benue, Plateau, Bauchi and Gombe states not to despair as a result of the delay.
The Spokesman of the company, Dr Friday Adakole Elijah said JED was working assiduously towards ameliorating the situation.
He said the company has deployed more personnel and materials to all the affected areas in order to stem the tide, assuring that in a couple of days the delay would become a thing of the past.
While warning againstenergy theft, Illegal connection and vandalism, Elijah urged customers to remain law abiding by not indulging in act of bye pass of meters, stressing that any customer found culpable of would be prosecuted according to the law of the land.
