
The House of Representatives yesterday demanded a comprehensive audit of all assets forfeitures to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) from inception till date.
The House also seek to ascertain conditions of such assets and their current values so as to prevent further decay and waste.
The representatives hereby mandated its committee on Financial Crimes to carry out an audit of car dumps and inventory of other movable and immovable forfeited assets seized by the commission and report back to the House within six weeks.
The member representing Ikorodu federal constituency of Lagos State, Hon. Babajimi Benson , in a motion titled “Need to Ascertain the Dumps and Take an Inventory of the Forfeited Assets in Possession of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC),”noted that the commission maintains dump sites in various parts of the country where it keeps the movable assets.
